Although not an exhaustive list, the following Garmin watches have VO2 max: Garmin Forerunner 45, 55, 245, 745, and 945, all Garmin Fenix watches, and Garmin Vivoactive 4/Venu watches. The owner’s manual for your particular Garmin watch model can tell you if your Garmin watch has VO2 max.
Vivoactive 4 broadcasts the HR only over ANT+, it does not have the option to broadcast over Bluetooth like other, more recent Garmin watches have. It means the device that runs Zwift has to have an ANT+ receiver.
No, Garmin does not provide that feature to Vivoactive. This is software limitation imposed by Garmin, hardware allows it. I don’t have recovery time on my Forerunner 45, but I sync my workouts to runalyze.com and get it there, along with other useful data like a more realistic VO2max, training balance, etc.
But unlike the Surge, the Vivoactive doesn't have a built-in heart-rate monitor. If you want to track your pulse with Garmin's new smartwatch, you'll need to purchase a compatible heart-rate strap
Incorrect heart rate walking uphill. I don't know why, but the heart rate measured by the VA4 is way off when I walked uphill on an ~10 % incline for 340 meters using the Walk activity. Despite my heart pumping, according to my VA4, I had a maximum hear rate of 137.
This gives me a very wide envelope of heart rates with my resting hr about 70. If I get up and walk around, my heart rate will jump up to 100-120 pretty quickly and easily. This is normal for me and not cause for concern at all, although if I were in better shape, my heart rate would stay a bit lower.
Fixed the heart rate graph not showing a full 4 hours; Changes made from version 3.40 to 3.50: Fixed Connect IQ 2.2 issues; Fixed many translation issues; Fixed wrist heart rate not working after disconnecting from HRM strap; Fixed wrist heart rate not working after connecting to a charger for multiple days

How we managed throughout any given day used to be entirely subjective. And while our own interpretations and feelings still matter, the Vivofit 4 and its plethora of built-in features provide
For the first week the Vivoactive HR heart rate readings were wildly inaccurate. Exercises that I knew were in the 120-150 beats per minute zone were reporting 80 beats per minute. However, after a few days of these bad readings the device came good and seemed to give me realistic (or at least plausible) readings.
