Heart rate loss? Sensor stopping? Mike over 2 years ago. Anyone else seeing the heart rate sensor randomly stopping on the Fenix 7? When running I use a chest strap so it’s not an issue, but during the day and commutes to & from work on the bike I’m seeing the sensor stop working. I wear the watch pretty tight and I can go 24hrs, sometimes Heart rate sensor dead. Fenix 5x firmware update installed yesterday. Now wrist heart rate sensor not working. LEDs not lighting up. I have done a reset and deleted and re-added device with no luck. There’s an IQ data field called Auxiliary Heart Rate that does just what you’re looking for. The caveat is that the strap needs to be ANT+ not BT. You’ll have to turn off the connection to the watch, or unpair completely, and enter the ANT+ ID in the setting for the data field to get it to work. Late to the party, but yes, my 3-month old Fenix 6 has never been even remotely accurate. I replaced a Forerunner 935 with it and used to run with the FR935 on one wrist and the Fenix 6 on the other for comparison.
